Dr. Arlet Dunsworth
Oral and Maxillofacial
Dr. Dunsworth has practiced the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since finishing his internship and residency at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas in 1973. Following the completion of his residency, he was on active duty as the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. In 1975, he returned to Dallas to be a member of the full-time faculty in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Baylor College of Dentistry where he had earned his D.D.S. degree in 1969. He remained with the dental school until 1982 when he entered full-time private practice here in Dallas, opening an office near Baylor Medical Center with another colleague. In 1984, he assumed the practice of Dr. Jack Addison, located on Sherry Lane in Preston Center. Having practiced oral surgery in Dallas for 40 years, Dr. Addison was one of the most well respected surgeons in Dallas and had been one of his mentors during his residency at Baylor. Relocation to the new office space in the Preston Sherry Plaza Building in 1993 was a welcome change that brought a renewed enthusiasm for treating patients in very pleasant, modern, state-of-the-art surroundings.
