Dr. Timothy Schacherer
Orthopaedics

Dr. Schacherer is a member of the Hampton Roads Orthopaedic Society, Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and Past President of the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery with fellowship training in hand and microvascular surgery. He served as Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics and Director of Resident Training at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center from 1988 until his retirement from the Navy in 1994. Dr. Schacherer is Assistant Professor of Microvascular Surgery at the University of Health Science, Bethesda , MD and Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at UTSW. He enjoys scuba diving and flying as a private pilot.
