BIOGRAPHY
Recognized as a leading specialist in knee and shoulder surgery, Scott Paschal is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care.
Dr. Paschal ranked in the top 2% of his medical school class. After completing his orthopedic residency at the prestigious UT Southwestern Medical Center in 1987, he was awarded a fellowship in knee/shoulder specialty surgery with Drs. Steadman and Hawkins.
As a former Texas A&M varsity baseball player, Dr. Paschal combines his personal experience as an athlete with leading-edge medical knowledge. Upon Dr. Paschal’s election as an honorary member of the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association, the committee stated, “His dedication to athletes elevates him above his peers.”
Dr. Paschal currently serves as team physician for Highland Park and Dallas Independent Districts. He also served as team physician for the US Olympic Ski Team and as Physician Director of the NATA Board of Certification.
Board certified since 1990, Dr. Paschal is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Southwestern Medical Center. He has authored several scientific articles, and has been honored with teaching excellence awards given by orthopedic residents as well as serving as the Director of Dallas Metroplex Athletic Trainers Lecture Series.
He has also been honored by his peers in D Magazine and Texas Monthly.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Paschal enjoys time with his family, golf, tennis, and photography.
