BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Kruse is a board eligible orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in the shoulder, as well as the elbow and hand. He obtained his undergraduate and medical degrees from Indiana University. While in college, Dr. Kruse played linebacker for the Indiana Hoosiers’ football team and earned Academic All Big Ten honors. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Greenville Health System University Medical Center in Greenville, South Carolina. In Greenville, he trained with the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolina’s. Next, he went on to complete a hand and upper extremity fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He then traveled to Lyon, France to complete a fellowship in shoulder surgery at the Centre Orthopedique Santy with world-renowned shoulder surgeon, Gilles Walch.

Dr. Kruse has published several papers on shoulder, elbow and hand surgery, and has presented at medical meetings throughout the United States. His research interests include management of rotator cuff tears, shoulder arthroplasty and the use of ultrasound in the shoulder.

He is a candidate member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Society of for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Association of Hand Surgeons. Dr. Kruse is available for treatment of all problems involving the shoulder, elbow and hand.

He is moving to Dallas with his wife Stephanie (a former Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader), and his two daughters Livia and Violet. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, golf, reading, and weightlifting.
